One of the skills I used throughout the exhibition was communication. I used that skill when talking into my group and when presenting. I used it with my group when we needed to talk about our questions were at the beginning of the exhibition. We all sat down and talked about what we wanted our focus topic was. After a few minutes we came to conclusion that I was going to study barriers, Akash was studying religion in general (history, traditions, etc.), Chase was doing religious wars and Jonah was doing technology’s effects on religion. Another time my group and I used the skill was when we were thinking of what we wanted our space to look like. We talked then sketched it out. When I was presenting I used the skill when I needed to tell the people about what I did and what they were looking at. Those were some ways I used the communication skill.
Another skill I used was the research skill. It helped a ton when finding facts. One time I used it was when we needed to find 4 articles for our 3 questions. It was quite hard for me to find the articles because my question were very specific. Another time I used it was when I needed some more facts for my informational writing piece. I was writing about religious and I needed some more facts on the crusades, I found a great website that helped me alot. I also used it when I was thinking of what I wanted my topic to be. That was some ways I used the research skill.
The mentor meeting for my group went really well! My mentor Mr. Panahi helped me alot when I was figuring out my questions. He also took us on a field trip, and he helped us with interviews. There was once or twice were one person in our group didn’t do what they were supposed to. He helped me think of many ideas for my project. Mr. Panahi also wanted to know what was going at every second of the exhibition. i think that was a good thing because so he could help us on what we were working on. I really liked my mentor Mr. Panahi.
